Door Order Process
Thank you for placing your order with Precision Overhead Garage Door Service. Your order has been received and is being reviewed by our Door Division. The following is an outline of the next steps for your order:
1
1
Approval of Measurements and Pictures
Our office staff will be reviewing the measurements and pictures taken by our technicians or designers.
If there are any discrepancies, our Door Division will schedule a follow-up appointment at your earliest convenience. Once it has been determined that any discrepancies have been resolved, the order will be approved.
2
Creation of Purchase Order
The Door Division will prepare the Purchase Order to be sent to the manufacturer for processing. It will include the door from your invoice, the tracks, and all of the hardware needed to install your door.
3
Approval of Purchase Order
We will ensure that the door order form matches the Purchase Order that was created. When everything lines up, the Purchase Order will be marked as “Approved” and your order will officially be sent over and placed with the manufacturer. This typically occurs within 2-5 business days.
At this point, you will receive an email updating you on the status of your order.
4
Manufacturing
After the manufacturer receives the Purchase Order, they will review and process it. Once processed, they will send us a copy of our Sales Order Acknowledgment. This shows the itemized invoice & the estimated date of completion.
5
Scheduling
Once we receive the door from the manufacturer, a member of our scheduling department will call you to set up a date for your installation. Installation timeslots are 8 a.m.–12 p.m. or 12 p.m.–4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday installs are limited based on availability.
6
Installation
Installation day has arrived! Please see the Pre-Installation Checklist in your door folder to make sure your garage is clear and ready for us to work in, along with friendly reminders for your neighbors.
Our installers will contact you at least 30 minutes before their arrival time so that you aren’t stuck waiting around for them.
Our installers will expertly take down your old door(s) and if applicable, motor(s). They will remove and properly dispose of any garbage that the installation process may create. If you have any questions or concerns during this process, or something is not completed to your expectations, please let the installers know so they can get in touch with our Door Division.
